Horst’s team is only a fraction of the bomb-defusing effort
Although Horst and his team do a lot of the work on their own, they are only a small part of the German bomb recovery effort.
Nationally, KMDB teams have located 2,000 tonnes of unexploded material, a frightening number. More than seventy years have passed since the end of the bloody conflict of WWII, and there is still no end to finding these unexploded bombs’ insight. It is more likely than not that we will continue to find bombs for decades to come.
