An incredible story of survival
Fuerza Aérea Uruguaya flight 571 was a flight between Montevideo in Uruguay and Santiago in Chile. The aircraft involved in this story is a Fairchild FH-27 from the Uruguayan Air Force.
It was October 13, 1972. 54 people boarded a charter flight from the Argentine airport to Chile. It was a flight like many others, but no one was prepared for what was to come. A rugby team on board the flight was preparing for its rugby match in Santiago. They could never imagine that this flight would result in a plane crash and an incredible survival story that they starred in.
