The search is over
Obviously, the airline has launched a search to try to find the survivors of this crash. The weather conditions were not in their favor and they had to make a difficult decision.
It was cold and dark in early October 1972. Circumstances were far from ideal for locating the plane and any survivors. After rescue teams searched more than 142 people, they concluded there was no hope and ended the search. They hoped to find the bodies in the summer when weather conditions allowed them to do so. What the rescue teams didn’t know was that there were survivors.
