A real story
While it seems impossible that people could have survived 72 days in such extreme conditions, we can assure you that this story is indeed true. There is even a museum dedicated to this tragedy in Montévidéo.
16 of them survived, but some of them were seriously injured. Aside from the Pan Am flight, this story had enough evidence to support the truth. There is also a post called Miracle in the Andes by Fernando Parrado, one of the Flight 571 crash survivors.
As for the Pan Am flight to date, there is not enough evidence and the credibility of the story seems to have faded over the years. What do you think happened to this flight?
