Swimming in treacherous waters in the open ocean, champion swimmers have a lot on their minds. When this man set out to swim in Cook Strait in New Zealand, he had no idea he was about to get the fright of a lifetime.
Nottingham, U.K. is the place where Adam Walker grew up. All of his life, he had always been fond of playing sports. During his teenage years, Adam excelled in different sports, specifically, rugby and cricket. Everybody from his school loved playing alongside him and his older brother. His dad, Peter, was their number one fan that always cheers the two boys on from the sideline.
Unfortunately, back and knee injuries made Adam give up on those sports and turned to swimming – a sport that he learned to love and excel in. Adam was so good at swimming that he began to swim competitively. And though it was still not yet clear to him, this sport would serve as a life-changing experience for him that he will never forget for the rest of his life.
