One of the reasons Brodie wanted to go fishing at Lake Hartwell that day was to test out his brand-new rod. Everyone in his family knew he really wanted to give fishing a shot, so they decided to get him a new rod for his 11th birthday. Brodie was so excited that he managed to convince a couple of older boys to join him on this adventure.
