Difficult to play roles at first
So, soon after graduating from college in 2003, Meghan returned to Los Angeles to begin her acting career. However, she soon realized that it would not be an easy task. She had a long road to go before she could manage to secure a break in acting. That meant that she would have to find alternatives to make ends meet before she could start an income with acting. She wasn’t scared, it was a tough time, but Meghan had seen plenty of such periods and that didn’t scare her. She knew how to fend for herself.
She landed small roles in 19 television shows, including a four-episode streak as a briefcase carrier on the “Deal or No Deal” game show, where she made about $ 800 per episode. The work being so sporadic, she had to work part-time elsewhere to make ends meet. Thus, graduate Meghan would still need to find a more stable source of income in order to pursue her long-held dream of becoming an actress. She was ready to choose an alternative. She didn’t want to give up acting as she had already invested so much in acting school that she wanted to go ahead with it. She had already come so far, that she didn’t want to step back now.
