While panning over a sink overflowing with dirty dishes, the narrator exclaimed, “Women are fighting greasy dishes and pans with Ivory dish soap” across America. Vexed by this situation, Meghan wrote to anyone who wanted to hear her, including Procter & Gamble. And it worked because the company ended up changing the ad from “women” to “people”.
