At 13, Meghan got her first job at a yogurt store called Humphrey Yogart, arguably the best yogurt store name of all time. She was then paid $ 4 an hour to serve ice cream and take out the trash on weekends. It was a struggle for Meghan but it seemed like nothing was bigger than her passion to make a change for the betterment of society. She continued working whole-heartedly and made time to visit hospitals to see various ailing patients. It was something her mother had instilled in her, and she never stopped doing. She would visit hospitals for charity and providing moral support to patients who had been abandoned by their loved ones.
Many teenagers work part-time during the summer or after school in order to earn some pocket money, there is nothing wrong in that. We imagine that this first job must have served Meghan to learn some lessons in financial responsibility, as well as to buy some goodies. We don’t know how she spent her salary at the time, but it is known that her next job would spark her lifelong passion for charity and self-giving. She had tuned into this responsible and mature girl at a very young age, given that her upbringing was as close to reality as possible.
