The job that changed her life
After this little paid work experience, Meghan found a completely different job. Indeed, she began to work for a charity, serving food to the poor in the soup kitchens of Skid Row. It was the kind of job that she longed for, not only did it bring her in contact with vulnerable people, but also shed light on the suffering of many that she always wanted to remain close to. She has a humble heart and loves being around underprivileged people. Her love for the poor helped in landing her the job.
Despite her young age, Meghan had a job that was far from easy. “I was 13, and the first day I was very scared. I was young, and it was tough there. And even though I was with a great group of volunteers, I felt overwhelmed. . I remember that one of my mentors (Mrs. Maria Pollia) told me that “life is about putting the needs of others before your own fears”. I have never forgotten that phrase,” she said speaking to the Daily Mail. That job went on to become the one closest to her heart. Meghan was full of love and that’s what kept her going, despite the job not being so easy.
