The rules Kate Middleton must follow prove that life as a princess is not easy!

No crying in public

Queen Elizabeth II had to face many tragedies during her reign. There were several instances where she wanted to break down and cry, but being the monarch, she knew it would not be very seemly of her to shed tears in public. Going through many tragedies has helped a lot to forge her character and she knows how important it is for a queen not to show her emotions. She has also made it one of the rules to follow. The rule now applies to other members of the roryal family as well, not just to the Queen, who set it up in the first place.

Can you control your emotions? Kate has no choice! Since joining the royal family, she has to remain calm all the time, as she is never expected to cry in public. If she ever felt like breaking down while being surrounded by people, she would have to make it to some place of privacy where she could cry without being watched. It seems too difficult a rule for us to stick to! Even when she participates in humanitarian actions or tributes, she is always calm, without showing much emotion. And if she was ever filmed at a wedding or a funeral, you would never catch a tear rolling down her cheek.
