A sudden realization
One by one, the guests sat down, those who remained glanced around the room to realize that those who remained standing were men. People didn’t know what exactly was going on, they all thought that it was merely entertainment that was being provided to the guests. Of course, how would even think something was so wrong and that the groom had found out shocking things about his bride.
The other guests could see that the standing men were clearly nervous as a sudden awareness of what was going on came to them. Standing awkwardly, the men continued to look around the room until their eyes turned to the new bride. Everyone in the room was confused as they waited for the groom to speak. Pushing the lump in his throat, the groom cleared his throat and continued.
